About me

I moved to Montana 6 years ago from a big city and have enjoyed the beautiful scenery here.We are surrounded by mountains and lakes! The 4 seasons we have here add to the overall feel of being out in the country  I also love to spend time with my husband. We love to go hiking, biking, camping and really do any outdoor activity. Gardening is something I also like to do, since I love to cook with fresh ingredients as much as possible. My favorite memory of cooking is when my family would go camping every year to Yosemite for a week. We would take lots of food (we were a family of nine) that we could cook on an outdoor grill/stovetop. My mom would make soups and all sorts of meals(mashed potatoes,fried chicken, pasta etc.) The aromas of the food cooking in the mountains will always be a memory that I will treasure. Food never tasted so good...especially after a long hike!  

My Favorite Foods

I love homemade enchiladas,pizza,scones, grilled seafood/ meats and breads. I am always on the lookout for new recipes for homemade bread.  

I love trying new/unique recipes and to tinker with presentation and style.

Hi Ellie, thank you kindly for the medal. I make a batch of this every summer when garden tomatoes are plentiful. I have also used larger tomatoes such as plum or patio tomatoes but the oven roasting time may take 5 or 6 hours for the larger size. Again, thank you and I hope you try it soon. It is sooooo good spread on warm crusty bread!
