Preparation

Put basil, oil, pine nuts, garlic and salt into a blender or food processor. Process until smooth. Pour sauce into small bowl. Add Parmesan cheese and Romano pecorino cheese or extra Parmesan cheese. 1 tsp. is way too much salt! I was able to salvage by adding extra basil, pine nuts, and EVOO. Also, added a handful of walnuts. Great over pasta and in sandwiches!

Delicious. I used BigOven to scale the recipe way, way down to two servings; the recipe above (3 whole cups of basil?) is way too large. The recipe as presently written probably serves 24.
