Lettuce Dish (Gemusesalat) Ingredients

4 sl Bacon	1/2 ts Salt
1 Onion -or-	1/8 ts Black pepper
4 Scallions, sliced	1 1/2 qt Shredded lettuce
1/4 c Cidar vinegar	2 Hard cooked eggs, sliced
1 tb Sugar

Instructions for Lettuce Dish (Gemusesalat)

Saute bacon until crisp. Remove. Crumble. Reserve. Brown onion in bacon drippings. Add vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Pour over lettuce. toss.
