Napfkuchen (Turban Cake) Ingredients

1/2 c Butter 4 Eggs; separated
1 tb Lemon peel 3/4 c Milk
1 ts Vanilla extract 2 c Sifted flour
1 c Sugar; divided in half 2 1/4 ts Baking powder

Instructions for Napfkuchen (Turban Cake)

Cream together butter, lemon peel, vanilla, 1/2 C. sugar and egg yolks. Add milk slowly. Beat egg whites until stiff. Add 1/2 C. sugar. Add flour and baking powder to creamed mixture. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Turn batter into mold. Bake about 55 minutes at 350.
