Suggest a better description1. In a food processor, mince garlic. 2. Place a strainer over a bowl and drain tomatoes by gently pressing and crushing them with a wooden spoon to remove most, but not all, liquid. 3. Transfer crushed tomatoes to the food processor and discard or save liquid in bowl for another use. Add tomato paste (adjusting it to the amount of liquid remaining in the drained tomatoes..sauce must not be too thick or too runny), sugar, and salt and process ingredients a few seconds to combine. Transfer to a non-aluminum bowl. Stir in oregano, basil, hot pepper flakes, and pepper. Cover and refrigerate until using. Makes about 1 1/2 cups ~--
