Oatmeal with Fruit and Nuts Ingredients

3 c Water 1/2 ts Ground Cinnamon
1/4 ts Salt 1 1/3 c Regular Rolled oats
Sm Apple, chopped 1/4 c Pitted whole Dates, snipped
2 tb Sliced Almonds 1 tb Brown Sugar
2 2/3 c Skim Milk

Instructions for Oatmeal with Fruit and Nuts

In a medium saucepan combine water, cinnamon, and salt. Bring to boiling; stir in oats. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Let stand, covered, till of desired consistency. Divide oatmeal among 4 serving bowls. Top each bowl with chopped apple, snipped dates, sliced almonds, and brown sugar. Divide milk among serving bowls. ********************************************** Per serving: 204 calories, 7 g protein, 38 g carbohydrates, 4 g fat, 1 mg cholesterol, 146 mg sodium, 315 mg potassium.
