Orange Syrup Ingredients

2 c Sugar 1/4 c Orange liqueur
1 tb Orange rind; grated 2 tb Butter or margarine
1/2 c Orange juice 1 ts Vanilla extract
1/3 c Light corn syrup

Instructions for Orange Syrup

Combine all ingredients in a heavy saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low; simmer, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until sugar dissolves. Pour through a wire-mesh strainer into a small pitcher, discarding orange rind. Serve with orange sections over ice cream or waffles. Yield: 2 cups.
