Tomato Seafood Chowder Ingredients

2 sl Bacon, chopped 1 cn (14 oz.) tomatoes
1 md Onion, chopped 2 c Water
1/2 c Chopped celery 2 c Diced potatoes
1/2 c Finely chopped carrots 1 cn ( 5 oz.) clams, drained
1/4 c Chopped green pepper (reserve liquid)
1 Clove garlic, minced 1/2 lb Fish fillets, chopped, or
1/2 Bayleaf, crumbled Salt and freshly ground
1/4 ts Thyme

Instructions for Tomato Seafood Chowder

In large saucepan, cook bacon until nearly crisp. Add onion, celery, carrots and green pepper; cook until soft. Add garlic, bay leaf and thyme. Stir in tomatoes, water, potatoes and clam liquid. Bring to simmer, cover and cook for about 20 minutes until vegetables are tender. Add clams and other seafood; simmer for about 5 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
