Sugar-Glazed Broiled Pears - Simmons Ingredients

4 Ripe Bartlett pears or Anjou 1 tb Sliced almonds
2 tb Light brown sugar 1 pt Vanilla frozen yogurt
1 tb Cold butter; cut into tiny

Instructions for Sugar-Glazed Broiled Pears - Simmons

Preheat broiler. Place broiler rack about 3 inches from source of heat. Arrange pear slices in heatproof shallow dish, slightly overlapping rows of concentric circles. Sprinkle with brown sugar and dot with butter. Broil until sugar begins to caramelize, 5 to 6 minutes. Sprinkle with almonds. Broil until golden, 1 to 2 minutes more. Serve warm with ice cream.
