Stephen Nichols And Mary Beth Evanss Ahi Tuna Ingredients

TUNA1 oz Heavy cream
4 Ahi tuna steaks; (7oz.) 1/2 lb Unsalted butter
1 oz Black sesame seeds; toasted VINAIGRETTE
1 oz White sesame seeds; toasted 1 ts Grated ginger
1 oz Corn oil 3 tb Soy sauce
Mixed greens 1 ts Sesame oil
SAUCE3 tb Olive oil
2 c White wine 1 tb Rice wine vinegar
1 Shallot

Instructions for Stephen Nichols And Mary Beth Evanss Ahi Tuna

Season Ahi and coat with sesame seeds. Saut? wine and shallots. Once wine is reduced, add cream and butter. Blend ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, olive oil and rice wine vinegar in a blender. In a separate saut? pan, heat corn oil. Place tuna in pan and cook on both sides for about 2 minutes. Add vinaigrette and sauce. Spoon over tuna. Place Ahi tuna steaks on a bed of mesclun salad.
