Spicy Noodle Soup Ingredients

1 qt Chicken broth 1/4 lb Mushrooms
4 sl Bacon 1 Head Napa cabbage
1 1" piece ginger root 2 tb Wine vinegar
4 Scallions 2 tb Tamari sauce
3 Garlic cloves 1/4 lb Cellophane noodles
1 tb Sugar Salt and black pepper
1/4 ts Five-spice powder

Instructions for Spicy Noodle Soup

Bring broth to boil. Dry bacon pieces in large heavy pan over high heat for 2 minutes. In small food processor, place ginger, scallion & garlic. Process to make a paste. Add to frying pan with bacon. Stir in sugar and five-spice powder. Stir-fry 1 minute Add mushrooms and cabbage to pan. Stir fry 1 minute Pour in boiling broth, vinegar and tamari sauce. Simmer a few minutes. Add noodles, salt and pepper. Simmer 2 minutes. Serve hot in soup bowls. Approximately 5-7 minutes.
