Santa Maria Barbecue Beans Ingredients

1 lb Small pink beans; ; available)
1 Strip bacon; diced 1 tb Sugar
1/2 c Diced ham 1 ts Dry mustard
1 sm Clov garlic; minced 1 ts Salt
3/4 c Tomato puree 1 pn Monosodium glutamate; (MSG)
1/4 c Red chili sauce; (Las Palmas

Instructions for Santa Maria Barbecue Beans

1. Cover beans with water in large pot, let soak overnight. 2. Drain, cover with fresh water. Simmer two hours or until tender. 3. Saute bacon and ham until lightly browned. Add garlicup Saute. Add tomato puree, chili sauce, sugar mustard, salt and MSG. 4. Drain most of the water from beans. Add sauce, serve warm. Serves 8 Copyright 1998 John Maddens Ultimate Tailgating.
