Orange And Almond Cake with Zest Syrup Ingredients

3 Oranges; boiled in plain SYRUP
; water for an hour 6 Oranges; zest and juiced
325 g Sugar 1 Lemon; juice only
1 375 gram who almonds 150 g Sugar
6 Eggs 4 Floz water
1 ts Baking powder

Instructions for Orange And Almond Cake with Zest Syrup

Blend almonds until bready and crumbly. Blend oranges until smooth. Beat the eggs and sugar until pale and add other 3 ingredients. Mix well and bake in a buttered tin at 225C for just over an hour, or until a skewer comes out cleanly. Meanwhile, boil all the syrup ingredients until dissolved and slightly thickened.
