Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350?F / 180?C.

2. Peel and core the apples. Cut each one into 16 slices and arrange the slices in an 8"x 8" baking dish.

3. In a small bowl, combine the water with the flour, cornstarch, and Butter Buds and stir until the dry ingredients are dissolved and not lumpy. Add the brown sugar and cinnamon and stir until smooth.

4. Pour the cinnamon mixture over the apple slices, cover the dish with foil, and bake for 40 minutes. Stir the apples every 10 minutes.

This was awesome! I used a combination of gala, jonathan, and golden delicious apples. I kept it in the oven for an hour, and I stirred it about every 20 minutes. We devoured it almost immediately. Mmm....

This was really tasty. I doubled the recipe for my family. I only stirred it once during cooking and it was just fine. I probably won't cook this as long next time because my apples were pretty much mush. I like them just slightly firm. Thanks for the recipe!!

This for sure tasted like Boston Market apples - one of the multitude of things I miss from home. Next time I will definetly make it with my own version of a chicken carver sandwich, cause one of my fav things is dipping the sandwich in the apple sauce.
