2 c FRESH BLACKBERRIES *; (up TO 2 tb BARBECUE SEASONING
2 c BEEF BROTH 1 tb HOT PEPPER SAUCE
2 c TOMATO SAUCE 2 ts GROUND RED PEPPER
2/3 c PACKED BROWN SUGAR 1 ts ONION POWDER
1 sm ONION; MINCED 1/2 ts ALLSPICE
2 tb CHAMBORD LIQUEUR 1/2 ts GROUND STAR ANISE OR FIVE

Instructions for Blackberry Chambord Barbecue Sauce

* OR 1 12 OR 16 OZ PACKAGE FROZEN LOOSE PACK BLACKBERRIES, THAWED MAKES ABOUT 5 CUPS. IN A BLENDER OR FOOD PROCESSOR, PUREE THE BERRIES. POUR INTO A LARGE SAUCEPAN ALONG WITH THE REMAINING INGREDIENTS. BRING TO A BOIL. REDUCE HEAT TO LOW AND SIMMER UNCOVERED FOR 15 TO 20 MINUTES. REFRIGERATE UNUSED SAUCE UP TO A FEW DAYS OR FREEZE.
