Ingredients

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 degree F. Line a large cookie sheet with foil and spray with nonstick spray. In a 10 inch skillet over medium heat, add 6 Tbl. of sugar and the orange-tangerine juice. Bring to a simmer and then add walnuts. Cook until sugar is absorbed and mixture starts to carmalize around the walnuts, stirring constantly, about 2 minutes. In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and remaining 3 Tbl. of sugar. Place walnuts in cinnamon-sugar. Place walnuts in a single layer on prepared cookie sheet. Bake until walnuts appear crytalized and toasted, about 8 minutes. Set aside. Excellent sprinkled on ice cream, a green salad, or simply to snack on.

This was wonderful made with walnut or pecan halves. Excellent sprinkled on ice cream, a green salad, or simply eaten as a crunchy snack.
