Smoked Salmon and Lemon-Cream Cheese on Crostini Ingredients

1 package Smoked Salmon 1 whole Rustic Baguette the dense, Italian variety
1 tablespoon Lemon Juice freshly squeezed3 tablespoon Olive oil
1/2 cup Cream cheese 3 tablespoon Chives
1 tablespoon Dill chopped

Instructions for Smoked Salmon and Lemon-Cream Cheese on Crostini

Slice baguette thinly. Evenly space on cookie sheet which has been covered with aluminum foil. Drizzle with olive oil. Toast in the oven until just brown.

Remove from oven, and place 1-inch square chunks of smoked salmon on each.

Meanwhile, mix lemon juice in with cream cheese, then stir in chopped dill. Add salt and pepper to taste. Fill piping bag (or pastry syringe) with cream cheese and top each crostini with dab of flavored cream cheese. Add chopped chives for garnish.

This was great! I used minced red onions in place of the chives and added more lemon juice. Delish!!

forgot to mention -- 1/2 teaspoon of sugar mixed in with the cream cheese is also a nice add.

Very easy to make, and presentation is wonderful. Keeps for a few hours at room temperature, making it a great passed hors d'oerve.
