Ingredients

Preparation

Preparation:

In a saucepan combine butter, heavy cream, and cream cheese. Simmer this until all is melted, and mixed well. Add the Parmesan cheese and Garlic powder. Simmer this for 15 - 20 minutes on low. You may wish to season with a little salt and pepper. I have done this with half and half, but we prefer the heavy cream. But I wouldn't try it with plain milk.

This was awesome. I made it for my friends and family and All I heard that night was how wonderfully awesome the chicken Alfredo tasted. I browned 2 cloves of real garlic in the beginning with a hint of extra virgin olive oil so the garlic didn't burn. Then I added the rest as directed. I also doubled everything and I let it simmer for about 30 minutes! I grilled some chicken tenderloins on the grill and seasoned them with salt pepper and a hint of fresh lemon juice! Before I served the meal I added the chicken into the sauce and I came out I feel better then the Olive garden Alfredo sauce! And this had to be the simplest meal I have ever made. Two thumbs up!

This was very good. I was skeptical at first but pleasantly suprised when finished.

I thought it was excellent and tasted like Olive Garden's version. I didn't have the time to let it simmer for more than 20 minutes. I did add a little roux to thicken it a bit and it was fantastic!

It came out very good! It was really rich, but still excellent. The original recipe doesn't make alot, so I doubled it and it came out fine. It was really really good.

I'm not trying to be rude, but I followed the directions to a T , and it when it was done it was real soupy, and when I tasted it I almost gagged. I love The Olive Garden's Alfredo and would love to find it, but this recipe by far, is not Olive Garden's.

Notes:Well I finally figured out how to get that taste. Let the sauce simmer as long as you can!
