Chicken In A Pot Ingredients

2 carrots, sliced	1/2 teaspoon coarse black pepper
2 onions, sliced	1/2 cup water chicken broth or white wine
3 lb. broiler/fryer chicken	1/2 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon salt

Instructions for Chicken In A Pot

Put carrots and onions in bottom of Crock Pot. Add whole chicken. Top with salt, pepper and liquid. Sprinkle basil on top. Cover; cook on Low 8-10 hours or on High 3 1/2 to 5 hours (adding 1 cup water).
