Cookie Press Cookies Ingredients

1 -1/2 cups (3 sticks) unsalted butter	1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar	1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 large egg yolks	6 ounces semisweet chocolate (for decoration, if desired)
3 -1/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour

Instructions for Cookie Press Cookies

Preheat the oven to 350F.

Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg yolks,
flour, salt, and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Fill a cookie press with
the dough and turn out cookies 1-2 inches apart onto an unbuttered
baking sheet. Bake for 7-10 minutes, or until the cookies are lightly
browned. Cool on a rack. If desired, melt the chocolate, spread it
on the cookie bottoms, and stick them together in pairs.
