Virginia's Candied Yams Ingredients

6 medium Sweet potatoes 3/4 stick Margarine sliced into pats
1 1/2 cup Sugar 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon Salt 2 tablespoon Flour
1 teaspoon Cinnamon 1/2 cup Water
1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg

Instructions for Virginia's Candied Yams

Peel and quarter potatoes and place in buttered 9x12 baking dish. Combine dry ingredients and sprinkle over potatoes. Cover with pieces of margarine. Sprinkle with lemon juice over all and add water over mixture. Bake at 400 degrees about 1 hour turning potatoes to coat every 15 minutes. Syrup will be thick.
