Tamale Casserole Ingredients

1 tablespoon Butter or margarine 1 1/2 cup Milk
1 pound Ground beef 1 Egg
2 teaspoon Seasoned salt 3/4 cup Yellow corn meal
1 teaspoon Chili powder 2 cups Fresh corn kernels or drained can corn
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 3/4 cup Sharp Cheddar cheese grated
1 can (16 oz) Stewed Tomatoes

Instructions for Tamale Casserole

Heat oevn to 350f. Melt butter in skillet over moderate heat; add meat and brown lightly, drain. Add seasoning and tomatoes. Beat egg and milk together in a large bowl. Stir in corn meal and corn; add meat mixture to bowl. Pour mixture into deep 2 quart casserole. Bake uncovered, 1 hour and 10 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake an additional 10 minutes until cheese is melted.

This recipe is kind of bland. Serving it with Beans makes it better. I suggest Ranch Style, or Kidney beans. Good if you don't feel like making a mess. Very simple to put together.
