French Toast Ingredients

12 Thick Sliced Bread 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
3 whole Eggs 1/8 teaspoon Salt
1 1/3 cups Milk 1 1/2 teaspoon Brown sugar or vanilla sugar
1/2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon 2 tablespoon Butter for pan
1/2 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg (optional)

Instructions for French Toast

1.Combine and beat together egg, sugar, milk, salt, desired spices, and vanilla.
2. Heat a lightly buttered griddle or skillet over medium-high.
3. Dunk each slice of bread in egg mixture, soaking both sides.
4. Place in skillet or griddle and cook on both sides until golden.

Serve hot with:
Pure Maple Syrup
or Powdered Sugar
or Favorite Jam

Delicious! Using day-old bread seems to work the best. I left out the nutmeg and just added cinnamon and vanilla for flavor. Next time, I think I'll add a little orange zest.
