A simple pizza sauce that is based off a sauce I originally learned in high school and have tweaked over the years until I thought it was just about perfect.
Over medium heat, saute onion in olive oil until light brown. Stir in remaining ingredients and bring to boil. Lower heat and simmer until desired thickness.
Only simmer the sauce as long as it takes to get the desired thickness. If the sauce gets too thick, you may add a little water to thin it out again, but you don't want to over do it, because too thin of a sauce won't hold to the dough well and the flavors will get watered down. Good luck!
