Caesar Salad Ingredients

6 Slices White Bread 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
1/2 cup Butter Softened1 tablespoon Prepared Mustard
2 Eggs Pepper (To Taste)
1/3 cup Olive Oil 1 1/2 Cloves Garlic, Pressed Thru Garlic Press
3 tablespoons Lemon Juice 3 quarts Torn Crisp Dry Romaine Leaves

Instructions for Caesar Salad

Remove crusts from bread and spread butter lightly on both sides of bread. Place a large skillet over moderate heat; add a little of the remaining butter. Brown bread slices on both sides, adding more of the butter as needed so that there is a thin layer of it in the skillet. Drain bread on paper owels and cut into cubes. Place eggs in a bowl and beat with a wire ship or rotary beater. Add olive oil, lemon juice, Parmesan cheese, mustard, pepper and garlic; beat together until blended. Place the prepared romaine in a salad bowl and toss with the dressing and croutons.
