Ingredients
Slaw:
- 4 cups cabbage 1/2 red & 1/2 green, finely s
- 1 cup carrot shredded
- 1 Large tart apple finely chopped
* I use Granny Smith
-- cranberries or raisins will work
Dressing:
* Use Splenda for low sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt to taste
Juice of 1/2 key lime
Preparation
Mix dressing ingredents together in a small bowl, set aside. Toss slaw ingredients together in salad bowl. Pour over slaw and toss until everything is coated. Hold, chilled, at least 1 hour to permit flavors to meld.
For variey and crunch I often add a few pine nuts or crushed peanuts,
