Jeff's Solden Sandwiches
4 Servings
100% would make this recipe for Jeff's Solden Sandwiches again.
From the kitchen of Jeff Hanan, Dresden Germany 2005. My family moved to Dresden Germany for two years and both years we took a week long trip in February to High Solden, Austria. My husband, Jeff, developed this breakfast sandwich while on our first trip. In Europe we discovered breakfast buffet's to be a bit different than an American version. You could find scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. Cold cereal, granola and yogurt. Otherwise it was very different. Who serves cold lunch meat and cheese at breakfast time? We soon adapted and this recipe became Jeff's every morning favorite! Soon, my son and I both followed. Our second year skiing the Alp's, I noticed we all made our sandwiches a bit different. After arriving back in the States, February arrived and although we didn't have the Alp's, we did have Solden Sandwiches to remind us of our time in Austria.
