A very easy and fast recipe with great flavor.

I enjoyed this dish very much! Next time I will add mushrooms, they would have been awesome in it.

This was very good. I didn't use a crockpot, and only cooked it about 3 hours, but it was plenty done. We liked it.

I loved it! I added Lawry's Season salt (liberally) and having read the comments about salt and pepper I liberally applied them, too.

The other thing I did was really work the flower and spices into the meat before adding the vegetables. I used russet potatoes (big ones) and I ended up adding an extra cup-and-a-half of beef base because my vegetables were so big.

I cooked on high for 4.5 hours and low for 30 minutes.

Yummy! I'm eating it right now.

Oh yah and I added the Kitchen Bouquet, too.

Used 1/2 cup red wine and browned the meat first...came out really good!

Thanks for the recipe. I've never made beef stew before, and this one turned out pretty well. Next time I would add some more salt/pepper/seasoning to give it a little more flavor and perhaps some kick.

I loved this stew. The only thing I did different was add some frozen peas in with the other veggies. Other than that I followed this recipe to the letter. It was done in about 7 hours in my crock pot, so I just let it simmer while I whipped up a batch of biscuits to go with it. Very easy, and very good!

This is a very easy and cheap meal for long days at work. I would make this again for sure. Jason said it tasted like Dinty Moore but he really liked it. I would add more salt next time but Jason thought the salt level was good.

My wife and I thought that the recipe was really good except we thought it needed more beef flavor and I would add peas next time.

This was a great stew recipe. I added about 1/2 cup of red wine and I think mushrooms might be a nice addition.

I have had lots of beef stew in my life, but have to say this is the best! I wasn't able to cook it in the crock pot (but will next time),cooked it on top of the stove and it was wonderful.

I believe this is the best Beef Stew I have ever made. I've never been a big beef stew fan, but I definitely have been converted because of this recipe. Absolutely delicious and so easy to make. Thanks for sharing, Kowgirl777.

Flavorful and easy.

This recipe is terrific! Easy to make and delicious. Instead of salt I used Lawry's Seasoned Salt and pepper to season the meat, coated the meat with flour then browned the meat in a little olive oil before adding it to the slow cooker.

Very quick and easy to make. I served with fresh hot biscuits. I also adapted the recipe to chicken stew by changing the herbs to savory and sage. Made a great stew/soup!
