Taco Salad (South Of The Border)

Ingredients

  • 1 head iceburg lettuce
  • 1 head red tip leaf lettuce
  • 2 medium tomatoes (2 to 3)
  • 1 onion; diced
  • 2 large avocados diced
  • 1 pounds ground beef (1 to 2)
  • 6 ounces grated cheese (colby jack)
  • 1 large bag doritos or corn chips
  • 2 cups pinto beans
  • 1 can black olives
  • 1 bottle pace picante sauce optional
  • 1 bottle catalina dressing optional
  • 1 recipe rotel cheese dip optional
  • Sour cream optional

Preparation

Brown and cook ground beef in an iron skilled. Add beans to beef. Set to one side.

Tear Lettuce into small pieces and put in a large salad bowl.

Cut up tomatoes, onion and avocados and add to lettuce. Add grated cheese, beef and beans to salad. Take a bag of chips, crush them and add to salad.

Let people choose which dressing, cheese dip, sour cream or hot sauce they want to put on their salads.
