Salisbury Steak Ingredients

1 pound Ground beef 1/8 teaspoon Allspice
1/2 cup Bread crumbs 1/2 pound Mushroom fresh, sliced
1/2 cup Onion finely chopped1 1/2 cup Water
1 large Egg 3 tablespoon All purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoon Salt divided1 tablespoon Catsup
1/4 teaspoon Pepper divided

Instructions for Salisbury Steak

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, egg, 1/2 teaspoon slat, 1/8 teaspoon pepper and allspice. Shape into 4 oval patties. Saute beef patties in oil for 3 to 5 minutes per side. Remove from oil and keep warm. Add mushrooms to skillet; saute until golden. In small bowl, gradually beat water into flour. Stir into mushroom mixture along with catsup and remaining salt and pepper.

I thought it was very good:) The steak patties were great for flavor. I tasted the mushroom sauce while in the pan and added a little extra salt, pepper, and a pinch of garlic. After the additions the sauce was very flavorful as well. Overall I think this is a great recipe. My family liked it and I will make it again:)

I left out the Allspice and did not make the sauce as I served these with salad. I had to cook these for 10 minutes each side as they were still raw in the centre after only 5 minutes each side.Very easy and yum recipe.
