Mock Ravoli Ingredients

Spinach Filling
Ground Beef Filling 1/2 cup Salad oil
2 lbs Ground beef 2 pkg Frozen spinach chopped
2 each Med Onions chopped2 cups Soft bread crumbs
1 clove Garlic minced1/2 cup Parsley minced
1 can (4oz) Mushroom sliced1/2 cup Romano cheese grated
1 can (8 oz) Tomato sauce 1 tsp Sage rubbed
1 can (6oz) Tomato paste 1 1/2 tsp Salt
1 cup Water Pasta
1 1/2 tsp Mixed italian herbs 1 lb Butterfly or seashell macaroni cooked
1 1/2 tsp Salt

Instructions for Mock Ravoli

BEEF FILLING: Saute ground beef, onions, and garlick in large frying pan over med heat until crumbly. Add mushrooms, tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, herbs, salt and pepper. Stir mixture to blend. Cover and simmer gently for 1 1/2 hours. SPINACH FILLING: In a large bowl mix together the salad oil, spinach, soft bread crumbs, sage and salt. Stir mixture untill it is well blended. Grease a 9 x 13" baking pan and place half the cooked macaroni in the bottom. Top with half the spinach mixture then half the ground beef mixture. Repeat the layers, ending with the meat mixture on top. Bake, uncovered in a 350 oven for 30 minutes(if refrigerated, 50 min).
