Pan-Grilled Sausages With Apples and Onions Ingredients
3 tablespoon
Butter
1 cup Apple cider or
apple juice

2 tablespoon Fresh
sage
chopped
1 medium
Onion

2 tablespoon
Lemon
juice fresh
1 medium Apple (tart: ex:
Granny Smith
) peeled, cored, sliced
Instructions for Pan-Grilled Sausages With Apples and Onions
Melt 1 tablespoon butter in large skillet over medium heat. Add sausages and cook until beginning to brown, turning occasionally, about 5 minutes.
Add onion and apple to sausages in pan; cook until tender and brown, stirring often, about 5 minutes.
Add apple cider and chopped sage; increase heat to high and stir until liquid is slightly reduced, about 2 minutes.
Stir in lemon juice. Season to tasted with salt and pepper.
Using slotted spoon, transfer onion and apple to 2 plates, dividing equally. Top with sausages. Whisk remaining 2 tablespoons butter into cider mixture.
Season sauce to taste with salt and pepper. Drizzle over sausages and serve.

I made this cause I thought the kids would like it. No such luck, my husband really didn't enjoy it either. I on the other hand thought it was divine. So I will make again, but only for myself. Sage is not kid friendly!

I did`nt use the sage or lemon juice but we still really enjoyed it and I am not keen on sausages. I have only ever pre boiled sausages in making " Curried Sausages " but will be doing it now as the sausages were not fatty at all.
