Spinach Maria Ingredients

2 pk frozen chopped spinach 1 pk 8 oz cream cheese
1 onion 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese or more
1 teaspoon butter 3/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions for Spinach Maria

Cook spinach according to directions, drain very well. Saute onion in butter til tender. Add cream cheese and stire until melted. Add spinach,
parmesan cheese,, and pepper. Cook several minutes more. Stir til well
blended. Placed in greased casserole dish and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

Family loved this for Thanksgiving. I used two bags of spinach and 2-8oz containers of low-fat cream cheese and 3 cups of parmesian cheese. Got rave review from the 11 adults at the table.

The taste was ok at best, but the texture I was hoping for wasn't. Maybe it was me.If I receive some type of advice I might make it again.

Another variation is to divide the mixture into individual serving sized ramekins, just watch the bake time, it may take slightly less time.

Although I haven't made it I did try it and thought it was great. I can't wait to make this. I might add a little garlic.
