Sausage Cheese Biscuits

Easy and fast to make. Keep them frozen for quick, filling lunches. These are "Teenager Friendly".

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Pork Breakfast Sausage
  • 1 tube jumbo flakey biscuit
  • 8 slices 2% cheese

Preparation

Bake the biscuits according to package directions. (350 for 15 mins)

Slice sausage into 8 parts and flatten each portion into a pattie about the diameter of a biscuit.

Fry the sausage until brown and crisp on both side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Divide each cheese slice into quarters.

Open each biscuit and place 2 quarters of cheese, a sausage pattie, and two more quarters of cheese in each one.

Place on a cookie sheet and freeze them. Then place them in baggies and store frozen.

To serve, pop one in the microwave for 60-90 seconds and it's ready.

Each sandwich contains an estimated:

Cals: 450, FatCals: 288, TotFat: 32g

SatFat: 10g, PolyFat: 6g, MonoFat: 6g

Chol: 50mg, Na: 700mg, K: 400mg

TotCarbs: 26g, Fiber: 0g, Sugars: 2g

NetCarbs: 26g, Prot: 15g
