20 Minute Shrimp Creole Ingredients

1 pound Shrimp 2 cloves Garlic minced
1 can (14 oz) Tomatoes diced, undrained1 teaspoon Basil dried
1 cup Chili sauce Low Sodium1 teaspoon Parsley dried
1/2 cup Celery chopped1/4 teaspoon Red pepper crushed
1 1/2 cup Green pepper chopped1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/4 cup Onion chopped1 cup Minute Rice prepared

Instructions for 20 Minute Shrimp Creole

Spray deep skillet with nonstick spray coating. Preheat pan over high heat. Cook shimp in hot skillet, stirring, for 3 to 5 minutes, or until done. Reduce heat. Add tomatoes and their juice, low sodium chili sauce, green pepper, celery, onion, garlic, basil, parsley, crushed red pepper, and salt. Bring to boiling; reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes. Serve over hot cooked rice or whole wheat pasta.

I would spice this up just a bit with tabasco sauce or alittle more red pepper. Enjoyed this fast meal.

This is perfect for times when Texas Gulf shrimp are on sale here. I use brown rice because it's easier on my diabetes.
