Core Spaghetti Bolognese Ingredients

3/4 lb Ground chuck 1/2 ts Basil
1 Onion chopped1/2 ts Oregano
2 cloves Garlic minced1/4 c Skim milk
1 Carrot chopped1/2 ts Salt
3 c Mushroom sliced1/4 ts Pepper
1 can (16 oz) Tomato diced1/2 lb Whole wheat pasta
1 tb Tomato paste

Instructions for Core Spaghetti Bolognese

Spray a large nonstick skillet with canola oil nonstick spray and set over med high heat. Add the beef and cool, stirring frequently to break it up, until browned 5-8 minutes. Add the onion and garlic; cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in the carrot and cook about 2 minutes. Stir in the mushrooms, tomatoes, atomato past, basil, and oregano; bring to a boil Reduce the heat and simmer, covered, 10 minutes. Add the milk and cook uncovered util the sauce is thickened about 15 minutes longer. Stir in the salt & pepper.

Meanwhile cook the spaghetti according to the package directions, Drai, divide among 4 plates and top with the sauce. Garnish with basil.
