This is the best cake ever! My grandma would make it when I was a little girl and now I make it for my family. I've not met anyone who does not like this cake!

Mammaw's Milky Way Cake Ingredients
8 regular
Milk
y Way Bars
1/4 teaspoon
Salt
1 stick
Butter
2 teaspoon
Vanilla
2 1/2 cups
Flour
Icing:
1 cup
Walnut
s chopped
3 regular
Milk
y Way Bars
1/2 teaspoon
Baking soda
1 stick
Butter
2 cups
Sugar
2 teaspoon
Milk
4 whole
Eggs
1 1/3 cups
Powdered sugar
1 cup
Buttermilk
Instructions for Mammaw's Milky Way Cake
For cake: Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Melt butter and candy bars; set aside. Beat eggs, one at a time. Add remaining ingredients and mix together. Fold in Milky Way bars and butter mixture. Bake for 1-1 1/2 hours in a 13x9 pan (you can also use 3-9" round cake pans).
For Icing: Melt candy bars and butter. Stir in milk and powdered sugar. Add additional milk if needed. Beat until smooth and spread on cooled cake.

what is the size to use for the milky way bars. There are many different sizes. Which one is the correct size to use for this cake and frosting?

*I always double the icing recipe for a richer, sweeter cake and have never had any complaints! Try warming a piece up in the microwave for about 20 seconds-it's incredible! [I posted this recipe.]
