This salad has crunch and sweetness. Broccoli, crumbled bacon, raisins, nuts and red onion with a yummy red wine vinegar and mayonnaise dressing, chilled.

Broccoli Salad Deluxe Ingredients
2 heads Fresh
broccoli
chopped
1/4 cup
Red wine vinegar
1 medium
Red onion
chopped
1/8 cup White
sugar
( I use Splenda)
8 slices Bacon crumbled (I use
turkey
bacon)
2 teaspoons Black
pepper
ground
3/4 cup
Raisins
1 teaspoon
Salt
3/4 cup Sliced
almond
s, sunflower seeds (or nut of choice)
1 teaspoon
Lemon
juice
1 cup
Mayonnaise
1 cup Sharp
cheddar
cheese grated
Instructions for Broccoli Salad Deluxe
Cook bacon over medium high heat or in microwave until evenly brown. Cool and crumble.
Cut the broccoli into bite-sized pieces and chop onion. Combine with the bacon, raisins, your favorite nuts, cheese and mix well.
Prepare the dressing in a small bowl by whisking together the red wine vinegar, sugar (or Splenda), pepper, salt, mayonnaise and lemon juice. Combine dressing with salad. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

I made some adjustments but I found my family ate broccoli, which is always a good thing. I had mixed nuts on hand, so I put them in. My familiy doesn't care for raisins so, they were out. I went a little lighter on the mayo and the vinegar and didn't add any sugar.
