Peanut Dipping Sauce (Satay)

Quick and easy very low carb peanut sauce great for shrimp, chicken, beef or pork.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoon Peanut butter - heaping amounts of either smooth or crunchy style
  • 3 tablespoons dark soy sauce Tamari - any soy sause will work
  • 1/4 cup apple juice - unsweetened
  • 1 teaspoons hot sauce - or more to taste
  • 3 tabelspoon lime juice

Preparation

Place peanut butter in a microwaveable bowl. Heat on high until soften, about 20 to 25 seconds. Meanwhile mix other ingredients together. Slowly whisk mixture into warm peanut butter until fully incorporated. Serve either warm or chilled. Yealds about one cup or four servings.

I have had Satay in Singapor and this is close but not quite. Seemed a little bitter. I will make it again but try a little honey in it.

This may be changed to the Asian type of category, if there is not a Thailand / Thai category perhaps?

Saytay is more from Asian countries such as Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand... happy cook'n!
