Ingredients
-- Sauce --
- 1 can Soup - 10 3/4 ounce Campbells Tomato or generic, condensed
- 1/2 tablespoon Oregano - fresh leaves or dry
- 2 teaspoon Garlic powder
-- Cheese Topping --
-- Pizza Dough --
- 1 loaf Bread - long French or Italian
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375
If using fresh oregano, finely chop. Combine sauce ingredients in a small bowl and whisk until mixed. If you have the time, refrigerate the sauce for several hours or over night. It gives it a little better flavor when the ingredients have time to blend.
In a small bowl mix cheeses together and set aside. Cut bread in half lengthways. Remove almost the entire center leaving a little remaining forming a boat like appearance. Cover each interior with sauce and add cheese topping. Add any additional topping you wish such as Anchovies, crumbled bacon, bell peppers, pepperoni, salami, ham, Canadian bacon, olives, pineapple, sausage, tomatoes, garlic, onions, mushrooms, hamburger, you name it. Bake for 20 or 30 minutes or until sauce is bubbly and cheese has melted.
Remove from oven and let stand for a few minutes. Cut each loaf half in four sections. Slice and Serve.
