Butterscotch Apple Squares Ingredients
1/4 cup
Margarine
or butter
1 14 oz. can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk (not
evaporated milk
)
1 1/2 cup
Graham cracker
crumbs
1 3-1/2 oz.can
Coconut
flaked (1-1/3 cups)*

Apple
s,pared and chopped about 1-1/4 cups*
1 cup Nuts chopped
1 6 oz.pkg.
Butter
scotch chips
Instructions for Butterscotch Apple Squares
Preheat oven to 350 degrees (325 deg. for glass dish). In a 13 X 9 inch baking pan, melt margarine in oven. Sprinkle crumbs evenly over margarine; top with apples.* (Use enough apples to cover crumbs well even if more than called for.)
In heavy saucepan, over medium heat, melt chips with Eagle Brand(R) . Pour butterscotch mixture evenly over apples. Top with coconut* (there again, enough to cover mixture well.) and
nuts; press down firmly. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Cut into suares. Garnish as desired. Refrigerate leftovers.
