Ale Brined Frankfurters- Chicago style

Ingredients

  • 8 Frankfurters
  • 3 cups Hearty ale
  • 1/4 cup Yellow mustard
  • 2 large Onions chopped
  • 2 whole Dill pickles chopped
  • 8 Hot dog buns

Preparation

pierce each frank in several places with a fork and marinate in 2 3/4 ale refridgerated, overnight or up to 24 hours. Heat grill to med. Combine the mustard and the remaining beer. Set aside. Grill or saute onions until browned. Then the frankfurters. Place franks on buns. Mix onions with mustart mix and put on franks. Serve immediatly. This is good with Beer Barons, Brats, etc.
