Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits

I've seen several recipes on this site that say they are Red Lobster clones, but I didn't see any with the exact ingredients as this one.

These biscuits tasted very good and just like Red Lobsters. Next time I think I will add just a little more garlic to the tops.

Very easy to prepare, and they do taste just like the real thing!

This is a great recipe. Thank you for posting it.

alepshaalepsha :  : review posted 8w ago.

I coated the biscuits with melted butter, 1/8 tsp garlic powder, 1/8 tsp dry ranch dressing, and a dash of old bay seasoning BEFORE I baked them. They were excellent. To little Miss darden, keep it up, if you love to cook you'll pick up lots of tips from the restaurants you work at, like I did. Good for you for not giving up the Red Lobster secrets, I wouldn't either- you're a good employee. You go girl.

very close to RL! On another recipe I found, it listed OLD BAY SEASONING so we use that as an additional ingredient to this recipe.

These biscuits are amazingly close to the real thing. My family really enjoyed them!

this is pretty close to the original...everyone referenced the familiarity between rl and the ones i made...so excellent.

This recipe was a dead-ringer of the Cheddar Bay Biscuits at Red Lobster. The family loved 'em.

To the one who works in red lobster. dont you think you're taking your minimum wage job too seriously? i mean its not that serious. we all kno that red lobster doesnt make these biscuits from scratch. it comes in a powder and you have to mix it up by following the directions. you dont even know the 'secret ingredients' if you did you wouldnt be here wit the rest of us. now go wash your dishes!

How Great were these. Thanks for posting the recipe the way YOU MAKE THEM. I think this website is for the way we make the recipe. GOOD FOR YOU!

I thought this was a very close match. Not exact but close. I am going to try the old bay seasoning next time. My whole family gobbled them right up.

bionicteacherbionicteacher :  : review posted 37w 6d ago.

These are pretty close. They are missing the old bay seasoning. And in the real red lobster recipe they say to coat with melted butter when they come out of the oven but I think that doing it before they go in is much better. To the person who said this was the wrong recipe because they work at red lobster- WELL WHY THE HECK DIDN'T U JUST POST THE MISSING INGREDIENT???

cera1756cera1756 :  : review posted 52w ago.

...the cheese should be aged for much more flavor.

...cayenne pepper is also an ingredient. Start with a quarter of a teaspoon...

dekruedekrue :  : review posted 1y 7w 4d ago.

This recipe has garlic powder listed twice and both times it is a different quantity. Which is correct??

To the last post, I don't care if this isn't the identical recipe that Red Lobster uses...it's still pretty darn close!! I made these for an office party, and my co-workers raved nonstop about how good they were, one lady even said my biscuits were the hit of the party and she wanted the recipe!! I plan on making these for my husband's family reunion this weekend; I'm sure they'll be just as popular there!! Personally, I love the ones at Red Lobster, but they're WAY too greasy for my taste...this recipe produces biscuits that are non-greasy and light tasting. I honestly think they're better, and I'm a frequent RL patron. I think from now on, I'll skip the over-greased, butter-laden restaurant recipe and just make them myself....at least I KNOW what's going into them.

kokomokerskokomokers :  : review posted 1y 15w 1d ago.

this is not the red lobster recipe, i work at red lobster in edmonton and know what goes into the recipe and this is not it...sorry for bursting you're bubble but i think before you post a recpie you should make sure its the right one...

It's so simple to make. It's soooo good. My family likes it with pasta dishes. I've made four times already for relatives. I like it like it is, everyone enjoys it so for now I can't improve on the recipe.

These rich, cheesy biscuits were really quick and easy to make. I've tried numerous copycat recipes for Red Lobster's cheddar cheese biscuits; usually they're not quite right. This recipe, however, was really good and comes close to the real thing. I did make a couple little changes: I had a little extra cheese (about 1/4 cup), so it went in; I baked them on a silicon baking pad; and lastly, as soon as the biscuits were removed from the oven, I slathered on a good bit more of the garlic-herb-butter mixture for good measure. They were delicious!

sgrishkasgrishka :  : review posted 1y 30w 4d ago.

This recipe is great. The only change I made was to wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rise a little before I mixed in the cheese and bake. I also doubled the amount of the butter topping. I may use parchment paper next time because the bottoms tend to brown faster than the tops. Other than that this is a great and tastey recipe!!!!

These biscuits are almost identical to Red Lobsters. Yummy!
