Ma Albrecht's Oatmeal Cookie Ingredients

1 1/2 cup Shortening butter flavored	3 large Egg
2 cup Sugar granulated	2 cup Raisins ground
2 teaspoons Baking soda	1 cup Walnuts ground (or your favorite nut) **
1/2 teaspoon Salt sea	2 cup Rolled oats
1 1/2 teaspoons Cinnamon ground	3 3/4 cup Flour
1 teaspoon Vanilla pure

Instructions for Ma Albrecht's Oatmeal Cookie

Pre-heat oven to 350 deg. F.

1. Cream shortening and sugar until smooth.
2. Add baking soda, salt, cinnamon, vanilla and mix thoroughly.

Add the following ingedients separately. (mix until well-blended before adding next item):
3. Eggs,
4. Raisins and nuts,
5. Rolled oats
6 Flour.

Refrigerate about one hour. Roll into one inch ball (or larger if desire a larger cookie), roll ball in sugar and place on lightly oiled cookie sheet. Use a 1 cup measure and press to 1/4 thickness. If dough wants to stick to press coat it with some of the sugar. Sprinkle remaining sugar on pressed cookies. Bake 8 to 10 min. Remove and let cool on sheet 10 minutes then remove to cooling rack.

Place 1 to 2 dozen in zip-lock storage bag and freeze.
Place in microwave for a few seconds if you want to warm them up and serve with ice cold milk.

** Alternative: In place of nuts you can substitute your favorite nut oil.
