Tart Apple Compote Ingredients
1 large
Granny Smith
Apple - chopped fine or shredded
1
dash
Salt
1 teaspoon
Splenda
-- to taste
1/4 teaspoon
Cinnamon
- to taste
1 tablespoon
Lemon
juice -- to taste
2 tablespoons Water -- if needed
Instructions for Tart Apple Compote
Mix ingredient (except water) in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat until apples are very soft. Add water as needed to make a thick sauce consistancy.
I served this on fried sauerkraut cakes with some smoked pork loin. It was a big hit.
