Broccoli (steamed, Microwave)

Simple, colorful and nutritious side-dish. One of the few dishes that tastes just as good when steamed in the microwave! I bet you don't need a recipe for this common side-dish, and that's OK! Simply posting here to make it easy to recipe-link later to other dishes.

Ingredients


Preparation

Rinse broccoli and cut into florets.

Place in a microwave-safe casserole-style dish with a closeable lid. Place a quarter to a half-inch of water in the bottom.

Cover. Place in microwave on high for four minutes. Be careful removing it -- watch for steam! Serve with butter, salt and pepper (optional).

Four minutes is just the right amount of time! Very good. Keep covered, and serve immediately. Top with butter, salt and pepper.
