Italian Meat Sauce Ingredients

1 cup Yellow onion chopped1 t Salt
1 pound Ground beef 1/2 t Monsodium glutamate
2 cloves Garlic minced1/2 t Dried oregano crushed
1 1 lb-14 0z can Diced tomatoes 1/4 t Dried thyme crushed
1 6 oz can Tomato paste 1 Bay leaf
1 t Brown sugar

Instructions for Italian Meat Sauce

in a Dutch oven, combine onion, meat and garlic; cook until meat is browned and onion is tender. Skim off excess fat; add remaining ingredients and 1-1/2 cups water.

Simmer, uncovered, 3 hours, or until sauce is thick, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf. Serve of hot spaghetti. Pass bowl of shredded Parmesan cheese.

Serve with a hearty red win and crusty garlic bread
