Mary Lou's Hamburger Stew Ingredients

1 lb Ground beef 90% lean1 ts Corn starch
2 c Mixed frozen vegetables or Equal amount leftovers veggies2 tb Ketchup
Pasta optional (spirals or Macaroni)1 cup Water warm
Worchestershire sauce to Taste - i add about 20 shakes -- Or --
1 ts Beef gravy or bovril powder may add another later to Taste - careful of high salt1 c spaghetti sauce. Leftover
Content) -- OR --
2 c Water to cover1 can tomato paste

Instructions for Mary Lou's Hamburger Stew

Brown ground beef and drain fat. Add beef to pot, add vegetables, add pasta (if using), cover with water. Simmer on 5 (med heat). (use a large wide pot called a dutch oven). add beef cubes, worchestershire, salt and pepper to taste. Add ketchup or tomato stuff. stir and let simmer till noodles are about done. add water when necessary. taste, add worchestershire for more tang, add beef cube for more beef. cook until it thickens. Add 1 tsp cornstarch to warm water - mix, and the pour into stew while it's simmering well - it will thicken up nicely. can be used for pies as well.

You may omit the pasta and serve over mashed pototoes.
you can add dices potatoes and carrots if you wish.
