Ingredients
- 1 pound beef top round cut into 1" cubes, all fat removed
- 3/4 cup pearl barley
- 2 14.5 ounce cans beef broth
- 3 cups water
- 3 each carrot chopped
- 2 each onion chopped
- 3 each celery stalk chopped
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 cups butter beans
- 1 1/2 cups sliced fresh mushroom
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic for braising meat
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
Preparation
Crock pot method: Spray pot with non-stick cooking oil. In sauce pan, spray with cooking spray and add 2 teaspoons of minced garlic; braise the top round just to coat. Combine all ingredients in crockpot and cook on high for 1 hour and set to low for 7 hours..
