Ingredients

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 375F and place rack in center of the oven. Grease two baking sheets.

2. In a large mixer, beat butter, peanut butter and sugars on medium until mixed well and light in texture, about 2 minutes. Add egg and vanilla; beat until thoroughly combined. Stir in flour, bakign soda and salt until dough forms. Roll into 1-inch balls and place 1 inch apart on prepared sheets.

3. Bake (recommend one sheet at a time) until just set and bottoms are golden, about 8 to 10 minutes. For each cookie, while warm, place 1 M&M in center for nose, 2 miniature chocolate chips for eyes, and broken pretzel for antlers. Transfer cookies to a wire rack or flattened paper bag and let cool completely. Can be made ahead, store in an airtight container.

Such fun to make with the grandkids. They loved them and even made them to take for their Christmas holiday treat. Be sure to chill dough after rolling before baking. After putting together your reindeer be sure to take a moment to look at the cute little faces, as each has it's own. This will be a yearly tradition to make these.

I love these cookies! They're so cute and easy to make as long as you put one cookie sheet in at a time so the cookies don't cool before you can decorate them. I put them in the freezer/fridge after decorating to harden the soft chocolate eyes so that I could pack them in zip lock bags for a holiday cookie exchange party. They were great!

The cookies were too dry and crumbled when trying to put the antlers and nose and eyes on. Very cute if you can get one to stay together.

A delicious, easy, kid friendly recipe! My young nieces really enjoyed the photo for these Peanut Butter Reindeer cookies. Since the peanut butter cookie portion of this recipe is almost identical to our families Peanut Butter Blossoms recipe, it was a no brainer...we made half Blossoms and half Reindeer cookies.
